Contexo Media acquires National Directory of Children, Youth and Families Services

July 15, 2005 — Contexo Media, Inc., a new company formed by former top UnitedHealth Group executive Kevin Marcum, has acquired the National Directory of Children, Youth & Families Services from LLM, Inc., based in Englewood, CO. New York-based merger and acquisition advisory firm Whitestone Communications, Inc., represented LLM in the sale.

The National Directory of Children, Youth & Families is the largest, most comprehensive and complete list of professionals assisting at-risk children, youth and their families. The directory, now in its 21st edition, contains listings of more than 52,000 contacts in all 50 states and runs on more than 1,400 pages. State, county, federal and national contacts are provided in social services, health and mental health services, juvenile justice agencies, education departments, treatment centers and hospitals, adoption and foster care agencies, referral networks and special services. LLM's owners, Kevin and Penny Spencer, had acquired the directory in 1997.

Contexo Media has been formed by Kevin Marcum to acquire small- to medium-sized business information companies. At UnitedHealth Group, Marcum was CEO of its Ingenix publishing division and most recently served as Chief Sales Officer for UnitedHealth. Ingenix is a global health data, information, and research company.
