Scientific American Newsletters LLC has acquired the passenger and freight transportation-focused newsletters and market research reports of Transport Technology Publishing (TTP). Transport Technology Publishing was represented by the investment banking firm of Whitestone Communications, Inc., of New York.
The Transport Technology titles cover the development, application, funding and regulation of the use of information technology in passenger and freight transportation. Also included in the sale was TTP's major reference directory of companies in its field and the company's increasingly active Web site for Internet delivery of its information. The TTP newsletters are: Inside ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems), The Intelligent Highway, Rail Systems Technology and Freight E-Commerce News.
Founded in 1998, Scientific American Newsletters LLC is focused on newsletters in scientific and technology areas. The business is jointly owned by Scientific American Inc. and Alexander Research Communications Inc. With this acquisition, Scientific American Newsletters LLC will now publish a total of six newsletters.
