Whitestone Success Story

Donald Newnan Sells Uncle's Engineering Press Business to Prestigious Oxford University Press

In approximately 1961, Donald G. Newnan, a professor at San Jose State University, formed Engineering Press to publish two engineering book titles he had written. Over time, the company began to publish a range of engineering titles, including a Newnan textbook that became the leading college title in engineering economic analysis. Two years ago, Donald Newnan's nephew, Brian Newnan, who had earlier purchased the company from his uncle, chose Whitestone Communications to sell the business. Generating significant interest in Engineering Press, Whitestone concluded the sale to the highly prestigious Oxford University Press.
