Peter Quandt, chairman and CEO of Haights Cross Communications of White Plains, NY, announces the sale of Andrews Publications to The Thomson Corp. unit West. Whitestone Communications, Inc. of New York managed the transaction, terms of which were not disclosed. Andrews, of Wayne, PA, has been publishing litigation reports for legal professionals for 30 years.
Quandt said divestiture of Andrews is part of Haights Cross' strategy to focus exclusively on educational and library publishing through its companies Sundance Publishing/Newbridge Educational Publishers, Triumph Learning, Recorded Books, Chelsea House Publishers and Oakstone Publishing.
