Bruce Guzowski, president and CEO of HCPro, Inc., of Marblehead, MA announces the acquisition of the assets of Educational Planning Services Corp. (EPSCO) of Yarmouth Port, MA. EPSCO publishes training materials and manuals used by nurses, nursing aides and nurse managers in nursing homes, hospitals and home health-care agencies. Its primary titles is Program Plans, Nursing Basic Series, a monthly newsletter founded in 1979 that helps staff trainers conduct nursing assistant training.
Principals in the deal were Jessica and Robert Terrill, president and treasurer of EPSCO, and Guzowski. Whitestone Communications represented EPSCO in the deal, terms and price of which were not disclosed. Melanie Roberts, current editor of several HCPro's monthly and weekly newsletters, has been named editor of the additions.
