Los Angeles—In a deal that broadens its presence in the advanced product design and manufacturing sector, Canon Communications announced Tuesday that is has acquired Appliance (33,000 circ.) from Dana Chase Publications.
Financial terms of the deal were not were not disclosed.
Appliance founded in 1944, covers developments in engineering, technology, materials, components, production machinery and manufacturing systems.
The acquisition includes Appliance News, an e-newsletter, and ApplianceMagazine.com, which draws more than 40,000 unique visitors a month, Canon said.
Media investment bank Whitestone Communications represented Dana Chase Publications in the transaction.
